Century Communities, ranked 10th on the 2026 Builder 100 list, has acquired most assets of HMH Lifestyles, operating as HistoryMaker Homes. This acquisition strengthens Century Communities’ presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, tripling its community count and significantly expanding its lot pipeline.

HistoryMaker Homes, ranked 77th on the same list, holds the distinction of being Texas’ oldest production home builder. Founded in 1949 in Fort Worth and headquartered in Grapevine, it builds exclusively in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Century Communities will merge its existing Dallas-Fort Worth operations with HistoryMaker Homes into a single division based in Grapevine. HistoryMaker’s leadership and employees will join Century Communities. Construction, sales, and closings will proceed as scheduled, and home buyers under contract will continue working with their local HistoryMaker team.

As part of the agreement, Century Communities will maintain a land development relationship with Jabez Development, HistoryMaker’s sister company. Jabez will complete land development on select communities for Century, and both companies plan to pursue additional land opportunities in Dallas-Fort Worth.
