Century Communities reported $12.6 million net income and $864.5 million revenue for Q3 2026.

Placed at No. 10 on the 2026 Builder 100 ranking, Century Communities logged $12.6 million in net income, equivalent to $0.44 per diluted share, for the third quarter. Adjusted earnings climbed to $28.8 million, or $1.01 per diluted share, as quarterly revenue hit $864.5 million.

Home sales revenue amounted to $842.5 million from 2,442 deliveries, averaging $345,000 per sale. Executive chairman Dale Francescon observed that the third quarter experienced a notable increase in interest rates, persistent inflation, and economic uncertainty, all of which significantly impacted consumer sentiment.

Operational Progress

Although demand conditions remained difficult, Francescon mentioned that the company still advanced its operational goals. The quarter concluded with 343 communities, representing a 7% annual increase and a 4% sequential rise, setting a new company benchmark.

Francescon emphasized the company’s efforts to control expenses, noting reductions in direct construction costs, finished lot costs, and fixed G&A excluding advertising compared to the previous quarter. These savings contributed to increasing the book value per share to a record $90.61.

Acquisition and Expansion

Century acquired substantially all of the assets of HistoryMaker Homes, a Texas home builder, in early October. The transaction will increase Century’s Dallas division from 12 to 41 active communities, based on Sept. 30 figures.

Per Francescon, the purchase will speed up the company’s expansion in the nation’s largest housing market, which is projected to gain from strong long-term economic drivers. The expanded operations will raise delivery volumes from 211 to 669 homes over a trailing 12-month period.

Century generated 2,284 net new-home contracts during the quarter and ended Sept. 30 with a backlog of 1,106 homes valued at $414 million. The company’s adjusted home building gross margin, excluding interest, purchase price accounting, and inventory impairment, was 19.3%.

Chief financial officer Scott Dixon noted that the impact of increased mortgage rates on orders and deliveries has led the company to revise its full-year 2026 home deliveries and home sales revenues. The company now expects to deliver between 9,350 and 9,650 homes, including 100 deliveries from HistoryMaker in the fourth quarter, with home sales revenues ranging from $3.3 billion to $3.4 billion.

At the end of the third quarter, Century held $2.6 billion in stockholders’ equity and $863.8 million in total liquidity, including $119.8 million in cash, cash equivalents, and escrowed funds. The company also raised its revolving credit facility to $1.2 billion and extended its maturity date to November 2030.
